Last on my list of big projects is a present I got for Christmas (what a present, ok only a modeller would say that but what a present anyway!) and have had sitting in its box for ages while I got up the courage to make it!
Its Varathar, Dark Guardian, from Andrea Miniatures of Spain. And what a model it is. Its 54mm, cast in resin and metal and from the fantasy ‘Warlord’ range. I like Andrea and painted a 54mm Lawrence on camel of theirs a good few moons ago. Expensive, but good.
Just working on the assembly and cleanup, but thought some pictures of the beginning might be fun and encourage me to build the monster. So here is the box (which is large) and the head of the dinosaur, lizardy, scaley thing in resin, uncleaned but showing a nice design up close.
